PaarlMTB.com is a website for mountain bikers in Paarl. You are welcome to join us for a ride if you are visiting or ask us for advice on MTB routes in and around Paarl. Become a member and post your own rides on PaarlMTB.com. Members can post a ride, view routes, join a group and make contact with other Paarl Mountain Bikers. Membership is FREE. Posting a ride is FREE. All downloads, route profiles and information is also provided free of charge. Typically we have rest days on Mondays, otherwise we ride everyday of the week. Usually an early start at 05h15, leaving from the parking lot at the Dros in the Main Road. Two endurance rides on the weekends to choose from as well as a night ride once in a blue moon to keep our wits about us. Why ride alone? Ride the Rock with PaarlMTB!
Paarl Mountain Nature Reserve is a striking landscape dominated by the three enormous 500 million year old granite rock triplets, Paarl, Bretagne and Gordon. This geological phenomenon provides unbeatable fish eye views of the Cape Peninsula and Boland Mountains, a diversity of indigenous vegetation and a gradient ideal for a day of leisurely recreational riding and not so leisurely for the more adventurous like us.
