A large number of novice cyclists have entered the 2010 Cycle Tour, and as such both the Pedal Power Association (PPA) and the Cape Town Cycle Tour Trust (CTCTT) are urging all road users to make safety their number one priority.

“Cycling accidents and cycling-related injuries often dominate the news headlines this time of year. We would really like to see that change, but this will only be possible if motorists and cyclists develop a mutual respect for one another,” commented Steve Hayward, Chairman of the PPA.
